Tis The Season For Hauls

I have been doing this very often - hauls, hauls and more hauls. But can you help it with all the wonderful things out on sale for the coming holiday season : D

I got myself a few things from Watson and they are really good deals.

L to R : Revlon's Opulent Pink and Vixen

I got the Revlon nail polishes at a promotion of "Buy 1 Get 1 Free". So for only RM19-00, I have 2 Revlon nail polishes. Yay !!

I also bought 2 Sally Hansen nail polishes which was at a very good discount - RM14-92 (25% off the regular price of RM19-90).

L to R : Sally Hansen's Ice Coffee and Chocolate

I have been reading rave reviews of the Majolica Majorca  products and so finally I gave in and bought an eyeshadow palette - a neutral colour suitable for daytime.

BR799

Majolica Majorca's Christmas collection - Mademoiselle Midnight collection was just released and they are now in Watson's stores. I didn't really like the 2 lip/eye palettes, maybe because the packaging comes in a very cheap looking paper or cardboard like palette. I prefer my palettes to be sturdier and prettier. I think the palette cost RM55-90 each.

Anna Sui also released their limited edition Christmas collection. I got myself a very nice mirror lip palette for RM144-00. I loooooove it a lot. It's sooooo pretty.

AND finally, I wanted to try Kanebo Blanchir skincare products, so at their previous sale I bought the travel size of toner, cleanser, moisturiser etc.

Kanebo's Skincare Set

It's not even Christmas yet and I already have a whole bunch of new things. Oh well, that's the beauty of being a woman. You buy things throughout the year irrespective of which holiday season : D

Additions to My Kanebo International Salon Year End Sale 2009

After my haul on Saturday, I went back again on Sunday dragging my son together but equipped him with his PSP. He was perfectly happy sitting on the couch playing. I was perfectly happy trying on the cosmetics and deciding which to buy : D

I've finally decided to get 3 more things :

Coffret D'or 3D Lighting Eyes 03

I bought another Coffret D'or eye palette as I feel at RM60, it is too good a deal to pass. Have you ever gotten the feeling that if you come across a good buy, you just had to buy it. If not I will not be able to forgive myself for ignoring it. Weird, huh ?

Lunasol Blush - Orange Beige 07

I wanted to try Lunasol's blush so bad that even without a casing, I bought it. It is a really natural colour, giving your face just a hint of colour and not looking like a clown. I tried swatching it but the colour did not turn up well on photos.

Coffret D'or Shine Drape Rouge Glow in PK-237

This is another lipstick that I wanted to try after reading the fantastic review by Fuzkittie. I have yet to use it, so I will do a swatch on this lipstick later.

I did some swatches of my previous Kanebo eye palettes purchases :

Coffret D'or TD Eye Shadow Palette No. 1

Lunasol Star Shower Eyes No. 5 Close of Night

The Kanebo International Salon Year End Sale 2009 will be held again on 13th November 2009 at Starhill. I'm thinking of going again, this time to get some nail polishes : )

So, for those who missed the earlier sales, you can go to the one at Starhill.

My Kanebo International Salon Year End Sale 2009 Haul

I have been very, very bad. I did another haul again. This time it is the Kanebo haul. I will let the pictures do the talking as I'm feeling so guilty.

My First Kanebo Products

Beautiful and Classy Lunasol Packaging RM112 (NP: RM160)

Lunasol Star Shower Eyes No. 5 Close of Night Eye Shadow Palette

All new products from Coffret D'or and Lunasol were 30% off and the older products were on discount between 30% to 80%. Very good deal.

Lunasol Skin Modeling Lips EX02 Beige Orange RM76

Coffret D'or TD Eye Shadow Palette No. 1 - RM60 (NP: RM120)

T'estimo Lip Gloss (RM15) and Eye Base Primer (RM56-I think ???)

The sale at Bangsar ended today, but there is another sale coming up from 13 - 15 November 2009. Details as follow :

A special mention to all the Kanebo International Salon's SA/MUA in Bangsar - they are all very friendly, professional and helpful. We were allowed to try the makeup before our purchase and if you cannot decide which to buy (too many but too little money), they are around to help with our decisions by applying the palettes' colours on our eyes : D

Overall, an A++ experience in a cosmetics sale.

My Son's Wisdom

Do you realise that children nowadays have so much pressure from all parties, ie their parents, teachers, peers to excel in their studies, to the extend that they do not enjoy studying. To them it is a chore to go to school and it is not fun at school.

The reason I'm saying this is, as I'm working full time, I always make it a point to call my son when he comes back from school and ask him how his day was. Today, he told me that one of his teacher was absent from school. So, I said he and his friends must be very happy and whether they played in school. Do you know the answer : He said "Of course not, Mummy !!! Do you think the school is a playground ?" Have they been trained that at 8 years old, they are not allowed to have fun ??? This is so sad.

Another point I want to make is that all the parents send their children for all sorts of tuition (I'm guilty of it too). But like I mentioned, I'm working full time and the main reason that I send my son for tuition is so that someone can help him in his Chinese homework and to guide him on whatever studies that he could not understand in school. Therefore, he just obtained his final term exam results and generally he did quite OK (scoring mainly 80s, one not so good at 60s and a few 90s). But other parents, even if their children score all 90s for their papers, they will say their children did not do well at all ???

With his Year 2 results, the school may stream the kids according to their results for Year 3. So my son's results may end him in either the 3rd or 4th class (in total 4 classes altogether) in Year 3. I actually prepared my son and asked him, what if he is in the 3rd or 4th class next year, his answer - "Mummy, it's just a class. What's the big deal. There's no problem and I will make new friends if that happens." I went :O. My baby is growing up. We must learn from him - is it that important what class you are in, A/B/C or D or do we teach him the importance of learning and to enjoy the learning process...........

Hmmm, something to ponder for us adults.

MAC (MAC Holiday Collection 2009) Mini Haul

What is it with me ? I've been having too many mini hauls recently. For the past 2 weeks, I've gotten myself so many mini hauls.

Today, I bought 2 items from MAC eventhough I saw more things that I like since I love palettes be it lip palettes or eye shadow palettes. I got myself a sun block - hydro charged moisturiser hydratant SPF 30/PA++ and a VIVA GLAM Lip Kit/Palette. Every cent of the purchase price for this lip palette goes to the M∙A∙C AIDS Fund. So, go buy this lip palette to support this fund.

So Pretty :D

The MAC's SA (Elynn Sim) at KLCC was really nice, she was not pushy and answering all my questions patiently. This is how I like them to be. I was given the time to browse around and not being followed and breathing down my neck. Only upon me requesting their help, she approached me. But the big problem is when I like the SAs, I tend to spend more : (
